Incense for the Clean is an in-world zine inspired by a minor character and quest from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The project imagines a collection of written scrolls and ritual notes created by the character “Kesh the Clean”, expanding on his devotion to the Daedric Prince Peryite through fragmented text, imagery, and material texture.
Rather than retelling the quest directly, the zine explores what Kesh might record privately: prayers, ingredient lists, ritual observations, and reflections shaped by worship, decay, and duty. The goal was to make each page feel like an object that exists inside the game world rather than a reinterpretation of it.
