The National 4-H Week marketing toolkit was developed to support statewide participation in National 4-H Week across North Carolina, centered on the national theme Beyond Ready.
The project provided a cohesive visual and messaging framework for counties, clubs, and 4-H professionals to use throughout the week, while allowing flexibility to highlight daily themes that reflected the breadth of the 4-H experience. In addition to the national theme, custom daily focus areas were developed to guide storytelling, engagement, and local participation.
The assets needed to function across a wide range of formats and platforms, from social media and digital communications to printable materials, while remaining accessible and easy to implement for youth development professionals working across the state.
Introduction
This project focused on designing a practical, reusable set of state-specific visual resources to support a large-scale, time-bound communications effort across North Carolina.
Because National 4-H Week involves participation from counties with varying resources, timelines, and levels of experience using social media and digital communication tools, the toolkit needed to balance consistency with adaptability while remaining easy to implement in real-world conditions.

Toolkit Promos
Each day of National 4-H Week was organized around a specific theme to guide content and participation throughout the week. Two themes were designated at the national level as part of the Beyond Ready campaign, while the remaining daily themes were developed specifically for North Carolina to reflect state program priorities and local activities.
Each daily theme included multiple graphic options, allowing counties to choose visuals that best fit their messaging, platform, and posting style. This flexibility supported counties with different capacities and social media strategies, making it easier to participate throughout the week while adapting the visuals to local content and audiences.
