This project is a parody advertisement designed in the style of over-the-top “As Seen on TV” product marketing. The goal was to intentionally exaggerate visual hierarchy, copy, and layout conventions commonly found in low-budget television ads, using humor and absurdity as a design tool rather than a distraction.
The result is a deliberately excessive composition that mirrors the logic of real infomercial advertising while pushing it just far enough to feel knowingly ridiculous.
The ad embraces absurdity by treating an ordinary object as if it were a revolutionary, must-have invention. Inflated claims, enthusiastic pricing callouts, testimonial quotes, and attention-grabbing badges are all pushed to exaggerated extremes to highlight how these devices function in real advertising.
Bold colors, oversized typography, and dense information blocks were used to create a sense of visual chaos that still follows a recognizable hierarchy. Every element competes for attention on purpose, reinforcing the humor while maintaining legibility and structure.
Rather than aiming for realism, the design leans into parody, using visual overload and enthusiastic language to critique and mimic the tone of mass-market TV promotions.
