This project is a conceptual film poster created for a coursework assignment focused on visual storytelling, composition, and typographic hierarchy.
The poster imagines a hypothetical Batman film titled The Fall of Gotham, drawing visual inspiration from darker, minimalist approaches to superhero marketing.
A stark black-and-white palette establishes a somber tone, while expressive, chaotic typography reinforces the sense of instability and collapse suggested by the title.
The city skyline and limited use of accent color guide the viewer’s eye downward, grounding the composition in Gotham itself while keeping the focus on mood rather than narrative detail.
The goal of the piece was not to replicate an existing poster, but to explore how negative space and typographic texture can communicate genre, tone, and emotional weight within a single static image.
